National Foundation for Veterans & Families, Inc.
NFVF is proud to partner with AVVA. A grant in the amount of $10,000 was awarded to AVVA for the publishing of The Paper Safe, a useful document for veterans and their families. Since its creation in 2002, over 60,000 copies have been circulated. The Paper Safe includes guidelines for survivor's benefits, burial benefits and reimbursement; and dependents' education.
Copies are available by contacting AVVA or your local chapter.

NFVF recently partnered with VVA Chapter 203 (Chattanooga, TN) in support of their Vets Helping Vets Program. The chapter has a long standing, successful program to provide wheelchairs to any disabled veteran in need, and also provides the same service to members of their immediate family, all with donated equipment and services. In addition, when able, the chapter has provided the same services to non-veterans in the greater Chattanooga Area.
The grant enabled them to erect a ramp for easier access to the trailer where wheelchairs are stored. Funds also allowed for the purchase of extra wheelchair batteries.
The Foundation recently presented a grant to AVVA Chapter 203 (Chattanooga, TN) in support of its Coffee Mess for the Pointe Center VA Clinic.
